Diversity
The Diocese of Saint Cuthbert is a non-geographic diocese of the Christian Communion International with
clergy and communities in ten US states and ministries which are international
in scope. Our worship communities are diverse in nature, ranging from small
cells with focused intent, to more traditional "parish-type" communities.
Additionally, two religious orders are associated with the Diocese: The
Companions of Christ (an ecumenical Dominican order of preachers), and the
Order of St. Columba. We invite you to explore this web-site to discover more
about the clergy, the communities, and the ministries of the Diocese of Saint
Cuthbert.
Convergence
Convergence is a term which seeks to describe the flowing back together
of the streams or expressions of the Church. This blending can be seen or
described as a blending of the evangelical, the charismatic, and the sacramental
in the Church. Also, it is typified by the merging of the Scripture, Sacrament,
and Spirit. We do not see this as a "new" concept, but rather as a reintegration
or rediscovery of what the Church has been. We also believe that this
"convergence" is not confined to our communion, or even to those with similar
expressions, but that extends to and is happening throughout the Church.
